By way of qualifications, I have enjoyed more than 40 years of both corporate and nonprofit business development and marketing experience. In the for-profit sector, I have been honored to serve as:

President and COO at Grand Canyon Railway
Our team created this tourist destination and living museum as a highly successful for-profit business. We raised more than $18 million and restored historic steam train service to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

I implemented marketing strategies that increased the value of Del Webb’s Lake Powell assets from $20 million to more than $70 million.

My team created the original Radisson brand which positioned the company for growth from 30 to more than 1,000 properties.

Nonprofit Experience
Concurrent with my for-profit career, I have been honored to serve a number of nonprofit and government organizations including the ACCESSMed Foundation, Arizona Office of Tourism, American Humane Association, Arizona Small Business Association, Butte Opera House and City of Cripple Creek, CO, Coleville Tribes, Desert Stages Theatre, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Sedona Chamber of Commerce, the Navajo Nation, and Utah Navajo Industries.
On A Personal Note
On a personal note I would like to share that, following my “official” marketing career, I tried to retire . . . but almost immediately suffered from a near-terminal case of boredom. In response, I jumped back into doing work that I truly love, freelance grant writing for nonprofits that are making a difference.
